Module 3
Homework

_____________________________________

WHAT:

For your Module 3 homework, you’ll take the remaining two steps to prepare for your E & E journey: Taking a Knowcation and calibrating your compass.

See the homework documents to the right for more details on the Module 3 homework.

IMPORTANT NOTE: Solo exercise THREE, CALIBRATING YOUR COMPASS, involves tracking your aliveness over a period of a week. You don’t need to have all your tracking completed before the Module 3 due date— however, you should have it done before your Module 4 group meeting, as you’ll be discussing it at that time. Therefore, make sure you begin tracking at least a week prior to your Module 4 group meeting.

Also please note: Each module’s homework documents have been specially created for use within the “Move-lah Group Experience” version of the e-guide, which is an in depth version of the e-guide that only opens up only a few times per year. If you are taking the regular version of this e-guide, you will not have a group meeting to attend. You may simply disregard the “group” portion of the homework documents and complete only the “solo” sections. (Alternatively, you may also choose to group together with other members within the Facebook community and hold your own informal group meetings.)

HOW:

Completing your homework is EASY & FUN!

Here’s a quick summary of the homework instructions:

(Remember: The group meetings and group portions of each module’s homework will NOT apply to you if you are taking the regular version of this guide. If this is the case, you may simply disregard the “group” portion of the homework documents and complete only the “solo” sections. Alternatively, you may also choose to group together with other members within the Facebook community and hold your own informal group meetings.)

The homework steps are covered inside the homework docs, but the description below is designed to give you a quick additional breakdown of the group meeting/homework process.

1. BEFORE YOUR MEETING:

    • Take a guided Knowcation: Prior to your group meeting time, take a 15 minute GUIDED KNOWCATION by watching the video below. (This is the same video that’s also included in Section 3.2– I just stuck it in here, too, for your convenience :).)

  • Complete the “Solo Work” exercises One through Two. (See instructions in the Instructional document; see fillable worksheets in the “Worksheets” document.)

2. DURING YOUR MEETING: During your group meeting, follow the group meeting agenda within the Instructional homework document. Below is a quick summary of the group agenda:

  • Check-ins: Each group member should check in and update the group on how they’re doing! Check-ins were covered under the GPS— for a refresher on how to do them, click here.
  • Share your Knowcation experience: Each person should take some time to share the results of their individual exercises and to talk about his or her experience with taking a Knowcation. After each member shares, another group member should reflect a summary statement back to him or her. After each group member shares, another person should reflect.
  • Discussion on reflections: Take some time to discuss “what’s true for you” regarding reflections.  Each person should share with the group his or her experience with reflections: how does it feel when others reflect upon you, and how do you feel after reflecting upon someone else? Have you found it valuable thus far & why or why not? Is there anything you or your group would like to change or experiment with in regard to reflections?
  • Wrap-up: To wrap up the meeting, each group member shares ONE WORD that best sums up his or her experience with the group meeting. 🙂
3. BEFORE MODULE 4 GROUP MEETING: At least a week prior to your Module 4 group meeting, make sure you begin the tracking exercise (SOLO EXERCISE THREE), which involves tracking your aliveness over a period of a week. See the instructional document for details on how to complete this exercise. Note that it does not need to be completed before the Module 3 due date (I’m giving you extra time since it’s a week long exercise!), but again, it does need to be completed prior to your Module 4 meeting.

4. AFTER YOUR MEETING: Visit the Submit Move-lah page on or before the due date in order to “pay Move-lah” and gain access to Module 4! (Move-lah submission applies to “Move-lah Group Experience members only.)

WHEN:

Module 3 Move-lah is due Sunday, May 19 before midnight ET. (Due date applies to “Move-lah Group Experience members only.)

Remember, you don’t need to have all your “Solo Exercise 3” tracking completed before the Module 3 due date— however, you should have it done before your Module 4 group meeting, as you’ll be discussing it at that time. Therefore, make sure you begin tracking at least a week prior to your Module 4 group meeting.
