GETTING STARTED

Here’s what you’ll need to know in order to get started with your group.

Google + Hangouts:

Most groups will meet via Google + Hangouts, which is a really cool platform for video conferencing with your homework group. It’s also SUPER EASY– I am a technology dummy, but this was wayyyy easier than I expected!

I’ve created detailed instructions on how to set up and attend a Hangout, even if you’ve never done anything like this before. Check them out right here: Google + Hangout instructions.

[Note: Unless you’ve used G+ Hangouts before, it’s highly recommended that you schedule a “test” Hangout with another group member well in advance of your first group meeting. Instructions on how to do this are detailed within the “Google + Hangout instructions” above.]

If you don’t have the capabilities to attend a G+ Hangout, please note that G+ Hangouts also allow for groupmembers to be dialed in via telephone free of charge (US & Canada). If someone in your group doesn’t have a webcam or access to a strong internet connection, they should communicate with the other members and ask the leader to dial them in.

If you don’t have Google + Hangout capabilities AND if you live outside the US or Canada, please contact the support team to discuss the best way for you to participate in group meetings.
